It is usually a simple process of using your phones IMEI number to find the unlock code using the appropriate software! After the software calculated your unlock code you can simply enter it into your phone and it becomes unlocked.
For many Sony Ericsson phones there is even free software calculator that can generate a free unlock code for you. All you need to do once you have your code is to enter it into your phone. Simple, isn't it?
But remember that some phones only allow a few attempts at unlocking by codes. Once this has been exceeded the phone will reject any codes, correct or not.
